Experience is what separates Mellinda from other CPAs. Prior to starting her practice, she received extensive training while working for Ernst & Young, one of the world's leading accounting firms. She worked in the Boston office. Soon after joining E&Y, Mellinda was promoted to a Senior in the Entrepreneurial Services Group. In this role she discovered her passion for entrepreneurs and small business. After what she likes to call her “tour of duty” in public accounting, she went on to executive roles in a few Fortune 100 Companies in roles that included Corporate Controller, Plant Controller and Manager of World Wide Corporate Financial Reporting and Analysis. Mellinda is herself an entrepreneur. She has purchased, merged, acquired and sold many businesses in various industries. In addition to her CPA firm, she was previously a partner in a restaurant and ice cream shop in Ogunquit Maine. Mellinda’s combination of public accounting, big corporate America and operational experience in small businesses distinguishes her as an invaluable advisor to business owners.
Mellinda prides herself in fostering personal relationships with her clients. Starting her career in Public Accounting in the early 90’s, she was trained that a business relationship was to be respected and developed as strictly business. Personal relationships of any kind were unacceptable. As Mellinda developed and built her own accounting firm, her and her team work very hard getting to know their clients and building client relationships. It is not uncommon for Mellinda to go out to dinner with a client, attend a wedding, visit a new baby or make house calls for a client who has fallen ill. Mellinda was born and raised in the Boston area, she earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting and her MBA from Bentley University. She is a member of many local organizations, sits on the board of nonprofits and is a current member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

My roles include bookkeeping, preparing tax returns, billing, and keeping things organized. When I am not in the office and the sun is out you can usually find me at the beach!
